Lettuce Mixed Leaves
If you are into salads, then you’d probably know that lettuce is considered as one of the most important salad ingredients. Perfect for practically any salad recipes, this green leafy vegetable is a food staple you’d definitely want to grow right in your own garden.
This Lettuce Mixed Leaves Seeds packet is a practical choice since you get to have butterhead, cos, and crip and loose leaf types giving you a variety of options and textures.
We suggest that you plant the seeds from March to July. Plant the seeds in rows 30cm apart (small lettuces should be spaced at 15-20cm apart) and 1.5cm deep, preferably in modules, seed trays, or straight into the plant bed. To ensure that the seedlings grow properly, it is recommended to thin the plants and provide at least a 35cm spacing. The seedlings are expected to mature 10 weeks after planting them, with regular watering 7-10 days before maturity.
In general, lettuces mature quickly. Butterheads take at least 10 weeks to mature while cos and crisp types can go as late as 14 weeks before they mature. 5-7 days after they become mature, the plants need to be sown in succession or undergo the “cut and come again” approach.
