Technically, any open flame can be cooked on - if you know how. But the Phoenix 3-in-1 fire pit and grill comes with a handy accessory pack with a mesh grill for cooking more than just marshmallows on!
For gathering around a warm fire, we suggest a mix of charcoal and firewood. For cooking, charcoal or lumpwood charcoal will give off more heat over a longer period.
Remember that the size of your fire pit will directly affect how much fuel it can hold. Think about where you intend to place your fire pit and the number of people expected to use it at any given time. If you intend to use it for cooking as well - think about the demands that'll be placed on it. For larger groups, a width of 50cm and above (like the Phoenix's 81cm) is advised.
