The BillyOh Devon is a premium reverse-apex log cabin garden room with a distinctive asymmetrical, offset-door design. Single Glazing

Crafted from shatter-resistant plastic (SAN) and suitable for seasonal use. SAN is used for its UV properties and the tougher finish avoids breakages, when compared to glass. Single glazing is the perfect choice for seasonal buildings such as summerhouses and sheds providing plenty of natural light into the building.

Double Glazing

Created from toughened glass, the double glazing is the ideal option for a building which is used all year round. The extra thickness will provide better insulation and keep your building warmer in those colder months of the year.

UPVC Doors & Windows

Now available on 44mm Cabins, upgrade to UPVC to give your cabin superior insulation, improved security and a gorgeous modern look. Includes multipoint locking, double glazing & chrome fixings. Available in either Smooth White or Woodgrain Textured Anthracite Grey, perfect for whatever style you're looking for. Please note the interior of your UPVC is white on either exterior colour

11mm Tongue and Groove

Our Standard flooring option which provides a durable, solid foundation and underfoot to the building. The 11mm option is ideal for less demanding and frequent usage, suitable for lighter intensity purposes like summer houses and other living spaces containing light furniture. The 11mm tongue and groove timber makes this a solid yet suitable, economical option.

15mm Tongue and Groove

Nearly 1.5 times thicker than our standard 11mm flooring, our premium floor is the perfect choice for higher intensity usage. The construction uses thick 16mm Tongue and Groove timber, which gives you not only the strength, but better insulation against the cold weather. This specific floor is the perfect option if you’re planning on using the building as an everyday use office, gym or games room with heavy objects.

Our standard roof option, this interlocking roof provides a reliable covering for any building. The Tongue and Groove not only gives your building a stronger roof but also a premium look and feel.

A Warm, Premium 44mm Log Cabin Garden Room

The Devon is built from thick 44mm interlocking logs — noticeably more substantial than a thinner-walled cabin, and naturally warmer thanks to the double tongue-and-groove edges that slot tightly together and the criss-cross corners that lock it all up tight. As standard it's a warm, weather-resistant garden room that's comfortable well into the cooler months, and it's a genuinely popular choice as a garden office. If you want to push the season further, the toughened double-glazing upgrade and thicker floor and roof make it warmer still, so plenty of owners use theirs for a good chunk of the year with a little heating. It isn't a factory-insulated, heated-all-winter room — for that our insulated range is the one to look at — but as a premium, warmer cabin it's hard to beat at the price.

FAQs

What do the 44mm walls give me?

The Devon's 44mm interlocking logs are among the thickest we fit, so you get a sturdier, more substantial building that holds warmth noticeably better than a thinner-walled cabin. The double tongue-and-groove edges slot together tightly to keep wind and rain out, making it a warm, comfortable garden room for much more of the year.

Can I use it as a year-round garden office?

It's one of the Devon's most popular uses. As standard (44mm walls, single-glazed SAN) it's comfortable well into the cooler months, and with the toughened double-glazing upgrade and a little heating many owners work in theirs through most of the year. It's not quite as warm as our pre-insulated range, but as a warmer, upgradeable cabin it makes an excellent part-to-full-time office.

What glazing and upgrades can I choose?

As standard the doors and windows are glazed in clear, shatter-resistant SAN in a Modern style. You can upgrade to toughened double glazing for more warmth and security, or step up to uPVC doors and windows (white or anthracite grey) for the most insulation and a more finished look.

Does it need a base?

Yes. Pressure-treated floor bearers are included, but you still need a firm, level base beneath them — such as paving or a concrete pad — prepared before assembly. A flat base keeps the walls square and the doors aligned; an uneven or inadequate base can leave it out of true and let water in, and may affect the guarantee.

How do I maintain this log cabin?

Give the timber a coat of exterior paint, stain or wood treatment after it's built (not before) and top it up once a year to keep it weatherproof. Choosing the optional pressure-treatment upgrade reduces that upkeep and extends the guarantee to 15 years.

Will I need planning permission?

Usually not — a garden cabin like the Devon normally falls under permitted development if it's single-storey, to the rear of the house, within the height limits and not covering more than half the garden. Some land is subject to stricter requirements, so check with your local council if you're unsure.

How is it built, and how is it delivered?

It's a DIY log cabin kit — pre-cut spruce logs that stack and interlock along their double tongue-and-groove edges, from clear instructions with basic tools and a helper. It's delivered kerbside, and as these cabins are made to order the current lead time is shown at the top of the page.
