The BillyOh guarantee covers this building against:
Please note: The guarantee does not cover timber splits or warping which may occur naturally over time.
Duration of Guarantee:
For more information about BillyOh Guarantee, please visit our terms and conditions
Untreated: Log boards are delivered to you untreated, providing you with a natural wood appearance. You will need to treat this annually and after assembly to protect your wood against rot or decay.
Pressure Treated: For an extra level of protection, you can opt for pressure treatment which is an effective way of keeping the wood long-lasting. This is an extra step in the manufacturing process where the wood is treated in a pressurised tank. Chemical preservatives are forced deep into the wood’s fibres to resist rot, decay and termites. When you upgrade to Pressure Treatment, the guarantee is extended from 10 to 15 years.
28mm is our standard log cabin cladding, which gives the building reasonable durability and insulation whilst remaining affordable. 28mm is a single profile and ideal for seasonal use.
Our 44mm Log Boards are a thick profile wall material, with a double tongue and groove built-in, giving you a sturdier build. Our 44m cladding is 57% thicker than our standard 28mm cladding option and has a solid and rigid construction, so you can look forward to enjoying your log cabin all year round, no matter the weather.
We offer two roof thickness options, so depending on how you’re going to use your log cabin, you can choose the better option for you.
The first option is our standard 11mm thick board that interlock together, providing you with a solid roof for basic use. If you’d prefer something more robust for more heavy-duty use, such as a home gym, the upgrade option is a 19mm roofing that provides extra strength and durability to your log cabin.
We offer two flooring thickness options, so depending on how you’re going to use your log cabin, you can choose the better option for you.
The first option is our standard 11mm thick board that interlock together, providing you with a solid base for basic use. If you’d prefer something more robust for more heavy-duty use, such as a home gym, the upgrade option is a 19mm flooring that provides extra strength and durability to your log cabin. This upgrade option is perfect for housing heavy equipment and withstands the knocks and spills of everyday life. We supply timber bearers with both flooring options.
All garden buildings should be assembled on a firm and level base. A base will ensure your building has a solid, long-lasting and well-drained foundation.
If you want to build your own base, from a sturdy material such as concrete or flagstones, you can find minimum dimensions for each size of this building in the tech specs. In order to protect your building from moisture, you should leave a 2ft gap around the exterior of your building, so remember to take this into consideration when laying any sort of base.
Our robust and simple to use EcoBase provides you with a firm, long-lasting foundation with suitable drainage for your garden building. It is quick and easy to install through the use of snap connectors that link the grids to each other.
Single Glazing is used as standard. Our single glazing is crafted from shatter-resistant plastic (SAN) and suitable for seasonal use. SAN is used for its UV properties and the tougher finish avoids breakages when compared to glass. Single glazing is the perfect choice for seasonal buildings such as summerhouses, log cabins and sheds providing plenty of natural light into the building.
You can upgrade to Double Glazing. Crafted from toughened glass, double glazing is the ideal option for a building that is used all year round. The extra thickness will provide better insulation and keep your building warmer in those colder months of the year.
If your building is shorter than 2.5m you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or will be placed in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before purchasing a garden building from us.
We do not offer an installation service on any of our buildings, as they are designed to be easy and simple to assemble. Using the digital assembly instructions included in your order confirmation and a team of at least 2 people, the interlocking logs that simply slot together mean you will have your BillyOh building up in no time!
Our Log Cabins arrive as individual boards that are designed to be easily slotted together. This makes assembly easy and gives a strong building with interlocking corners for strength. If you opt for double glazed windows and doors, these are delivered pre-assembled for your convenience.

For a completely protected garden room, you can also opt for a pressure treated building which is an effective way of keeping the building completely protected from the elements as well as rot and insect infestation.
The pressure treatment penetrates the wood with preservatives, leaving you with a building that is low maintenance and doesn’t need treating at home. This option is great for anyone who is looking for a building that's not going to take any effort to look after - especially as we increase our BillyOh guarantee to 15 years on all pressure treated buildings!

Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) glazing is a high-strength rigid plastic glazing that’s UV-stable and shatter resistant. Aesthetically pleasing and safe to handle it comes at an attractive price point.
Toughened, double-glazed glass may be available as an upgrade. Features of toughened glass include added strength versus regular glass and double-glazing with a space between panes to reduce heat transfer.
Log cabins are delivered via kerbside delivery as stacks of pre-assembled panels that require fitting together. All panels are designed to be smaller enough to fit down side entrances and even for transport through houses.
You can further customise and enhance the building by putting your own personal stamp on your new Devon Log Cabin by painting and decorating it.
