A Larger Garden Playhouse

The Peardrop extra is the perfect wooden playhouse if you're looking to make the most of your space. The 6x7 and 8x7 playhouse sizes offer multiple upgrades to best suit your needs, with an optional bunk, platform, and picket fencing. The optional bunk adds a new level of play by creating a two-storey interior play area with a climbing ladder and safety rail.

The platform is a beautiful slatted wooden flooring space outside the buildings front door, helping to keep all your children's toys in one place. Furthermore, the picket fence is a staple of traditional garden playhouses and can be added to any previous options to get this classic style.

The Peardrop extra comes with a robust 11mm tongue and groove roof, and floor and roofing felt included to protect your building from harsh weather. Other features of the Peardrop Extra include a strong boarded door to keep your building secure, faux window shutters, window crosses and a brilliant overhanging roof for a nice finish and water runoff. The tall Apex roof helps keep the building airy and feeling open - this height is perfect for the optional bunk.

With all the options you're given, this building can be created to suit your needs and wants perfectly. As with all of our playhouses, the walls come as pre-assembled panels with comprehensive instructions, making it simple and quick to construct. Once constructed, you and your children can work together to add a splash of colour, customising the building to your children's vision, whether that be a gorgeous Wendy house, a wooden fort or even a Santa's Christmas grotto.

Tongue and Groove Timber Cladding

This fantastic playhouse also uses 11mm tongue and groove panels for the floor and roof to offer a tight seal against water ingress. Durable tongue & groove construction works by interlocking a 'tongue' into the corresponding 'groove' of the next panel. We use this cladding material at Garden Buildings Direct to offer your outdoor building premium quality at a budget-friendly price. T&G cladding is designed to keep your playhouse and contents safe in even harsh weather conditions.

Base

And while we suggest placing all garden buildings on a level surface with a solid base, a concrete base or even level pavers may be too expensive. That's why we offer the easy-to-use Ecobase Fastfill option as an extra. Simply get your playhouse site level with string lines and use this gravel-filled plastic foundation base to place your Peardrop on top of.
