All garden buildings should be assembled on a firm and level base. A base will ensure your building has a solid, long-lasting and well-drained foundation.
If you want to build your own base, from a sturdy material such as concrete or flagstones, you can find minimum dimensions for each size of this building in the tech specs. In order to protect your building from moisture, you should leave a 2ft gap around the exterior of your building, so remember to take this into consideration when laying any sort of base.
Our robust and simple to use EcoBase provides you with a firm, long-lasting foundation with suitable drainage for your garden building. It is quick and easy to install through the use of snap connectors that link the grids to each other.

If you’re looking for the perfect combination of shed and greenhouse, the BillyOh Planthouse Pent Potting Shed is the garden building you need. With two tiers of wide, open windows that let in loads of natural light, a dedicated potting bench for growing and planting, and enough storage space to fill a small shed, the Pent Planthouse ticks all the boxes of a great hybrid greenhouse and shed.
We designed the BillyOh Planthouse to be the ideal mix of a wooden greenhouse and storage shed. To do this, we've split the garden building in two and dedicated each side to the different purposes it fulfils.
On one side the Planthouse has large, bright windows made from toughened safety glass, which provide maximum light to the planthouse's dedicated potting bench space. On the other, you'll find loads of space for storage - including a dedicated storage wall that can be equipped with shelving for storage of garden tools - or even more planting!
Dividing the space allows the BillyOh Planthouse to perform as the perfect shed and greenhouse combination. This utility and versatility makes the Planthouse a popular choice for our customers - and who can blame them?
The Planthouse's unique Pent Roof is designed to provide quick drainage and the aesthetic of a modern, contemporary shed. With roofing felt supplied as standard, your Planthouse's pent roof will easily withstand rain and keep the contents of your shed & greenhouse combo safe.
The wide-opening double doors this planting shed is equipped with provide easy access in and out of the garden building. They can also be opened fully to provide temperature regulation and improved ventilation during hot weather.

With the BillyOh planthouse, this construction also lends the building and its pent design a unique traditional style. Using this cladding equips the building with a strong and secure wooden frame, as well as resistance to water ingress, meaning it can hold up to the worst of the British Weather!
When placing your Planthouse potting shed, consider the location in your garden. If you'll be carrying plants and bags of soil and feed, place it within walking distance of your main house. You'll also want to consider the path of the sun and any obstructions like overhanging branches to give your plants the most possible natural light.
