If the building is shorter than 2.5m tall you should not require planning permission, (unless it’s more than 50% of your garden or to be put in your front garden). Planning permission rules can vary by area so we would strongly recommend checking your local council rules before ordering from us.
We'd recommend any flat and level base be put in place before you start construction of any of our buildings. The material can vary so long as it creates a flat and level base, many cutomers opt for Concrete, Paving Slabs or our popular Ecobase and EzeBase options available above. The floor of the building comes with bearers which lift the building off the base and allows the flooring to have a gap between itself and the ground this helps slow down or stop any rotting that could occur if the wood is kept in standing water.
The building should be treated once fully assembled and within one month of recieveing the product. All the treatments we supply ensure the building will only need to be treated once a year, but always consult the directions on the treatment that you have purchased. Pressure treated building dont need to be treated annually but may need to be topped up in its later life.
This building is designed & made of preassembled panels, that make assembly super simple. With a team of just 2 people and a bit of DIY knowledge you can expect to have your BillyOh building up within a day, with many smaller buildings easy to assemble in as little as 3-4 hours.
Our buildings are designed to be built on a flat, solid, level base. Many customers opt for a concrete or paving slab base, but for an easy cost effective base option, look no further than our popular Eze Base or Ecobase options for a simple, low cost bases
Our sheds and summerhouses have cavities in the walls between the framing that will fit many common insulation materials inside. Although we do not recommend insulating your building as it has not been tested on our buildings, and would void your manufacturers warranty. Our buildings have been designed to be built with common DIY tools, such as a Drill, Screwdriver, Saw and a Hammer being the key tools needed to assemble. A Ladder comes in handy for taller buildings and a Spirit Level and Tape Measure are good ways to make sure your building is level and neatly built. Many of these tools can be found in the Value Assembly Kit sold above as a quick simple way to get the tools you need.
