This garden room is available with 28mm walls as standard, or for a more robust building, you can upgrade to 44mm walls.

This large wooden building offers you all the space you need for a garden office or a beautiful family room. The reverse apex roof provides you with increased head height, making it great for easily moving or bringing office equipment in and out. The wide-opening double doors offer fantastic access allowing you to install furniture such as sofas, office chairs or desks with ease. The Kent also comes with windows on one side wall and across the front of the building, giving you natural light throughout the day, helping with eye strain and keeping your building a bright and airy space to work or play.

This wooden cabin comes with a strong 11mm tongue and groove roof and floor included, although there is an option to upgrade to a 19mm option for more robust uses such as heavy filing cabinets or daily use of office chairs. The SAN shatterproof window glazing can even be upgraded to toughened double glazing for better insulation and heat regulation - perfecting for working through the winter. To upgrade the strength and weather resistance of your building further you can opt for pressure treatment which also increases your BillyOh guarantee to 15 years.

This garden cabin’s windows are made from safety-conscious SAN and can even be upgraded to double-glazed toughened glass. The timber used for the Kent log cabin’s cladding is also high-quality and European-sourced.

Options

The Kent garden cabin comes with 28mm log cladding as standard, but can be upgraded to 44mm thick walls for increased insulation and thermal regulation. This is perfect if you intend to use your outdoor office year-round as it’ll ensure your garden building stays cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Tongue & Groove Cladding

Made from high-quality timber, our tongue and groove panels are designed to offer a sturdy build as well as a tight seal to protect against water ingress and even harsh weather conditions. Tongue & groove cladding is used whereby the Kent’s roof boards and tongue & groove wall are designed to be weather-resistant and sturdy.

It’s thanks to this sturdy and the quality materials used that the Kent Garden Office comes with a 10-year guarantee against rot, insect infestation, and decay. And upgrading to a pressure treated model allows us to increase this guarantee to 15 years. By treating timber with chemicals and preservatives in a vacuum, we can ensure even-longer protection against even harsh British weather.

Planning Permission

Log cabins shouldn't require planning permission as long as they follow these planning regulations:

• They don't intend to be used as a permanent living space.
• Their ridge height doesn't exceed 4m (for a dual-pitched roof) or 2.5 at the height of the eaves (which the Kent cabin doesn’t)
• They don't take up more than 50% of your garden space.
• They aren't built past the line of the principal of your property.

Luckily for you, the BillyOh Kent office is planning-friendly. Even our larger buildings should only rely on your garden size to come under 'permitted development' on your land. This way, you can make the most of your garden space.

You’ll be provided with comprehensive assembly instructions with your order. Follow these to construct the pre-measured and cut tongue and groove panels of your BillyOh Kent and you can have it up in a matter of hours!

What Is SAN Glazing?

Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) glazing is a high-strength rigid plastic glazing that’s UV-stable and shatter resistant. Aesthetically pleasing and safe to handle it comes at an attractive price point.

Toughened, double-glazed glass may be available as an upgrade. Features of toughened glass include added strength versus regular glass and double-glazing with a space between panes to reduce heat transfer.

Georgian vs. Modern Window Option

Georgian style windows are panes split by horizontal and vertical bars that offer a traditional look and still allow in plenty of natural light. Our modern style windows feature one uninterrupted pane that maximises a simple and practical style.

How does my building arrive?

Log cabins are delivered via kerbside delivery as stacks of pre-assembled panels that require fitting together. All panels are designed to be smaller enough to fit down side entrances and even for transport through houses.
